Issues: Our Environment
 
As Oregon’s State Treasurer, I will serve as a member of the State Land Board to protect Oregon’s special places and manage our natural resources benefit of all of us.  The Treasurer can also encourage renewable energy investments and sustainable business models.
 

  Provide sound stewardship of our natural resources including lands, waterways, coastal waters, minerals and energy through active involvement on the State Land Board.
     
  Promote investments in renewable energy to reduce our dependency on foreign and create Oregon jobs.
     
  Enhance Oregon's brand by advocating for sustainable business models to build a more socially, environmentally and financially sustainable economy.
     
  Educate Oregonians on the financial impacts of global climate change and find workable solutions for our future.
     
  Help protect the Metolius Basin and other special places.
